Spire Health welcomes Dr. Sean Devlin (Medical Director) and Dr. Jason Chen, expanding our functional medicine depth and leadership across integrative oncology and transformation programs.

Sean Devlin, DO, MS, MD(H) ΓÇö Enterprise Medical Director
Dr. Sean Devlin joins Spire Health and will serve as the Enterprise Medical Director for Spire and its affiliate urgent care company AfterOurs Urgent Care. Bringing over 20 years of experience across emergency medicine, family practice, and integrative oncology.
A board-certified and fellowship-trained physician in Anti-Aging, Metabolic, Regenerative, and Functional Medicine, Dr. Devlin has served in numerous leadership roles, including Chief Medical Officer at Brio Medical and medical director positions across hospitals, air ambulances, and specialized clinics.
His unique background spans integrative cancer therapeutics, neuromuscular medicine, and wilderness/emergency medical services, including work with large-scale events such as Burning Man. With a passion for education and improving standards of care, Dr. Devlin regularly lectures nationwide on integrative oncology, primary care, and complex chronic conditions. His commitment to clinical excellence and team-based collaboration will be instrumental in guiding Spire HealthΓÇÖs continued growth and innovation.
Jason Chen, DO, IFMCP ΓÇö Physician Director
Dr. Jason Chen joins Spire Health as co-director with Dr. Devlin, architecting care plans and supporting the care teamΓÇÖs clinical decision making. A certified practitioner with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFMCP) and a board-certified family physician, Dr. Chen has built his career on delivering personalized, preventive care that bridges conventional and holistic approaches.
He previously spearheaded the development of Johns HopkinsΓÇÖ first integrative primary care clinic and has led numerous impactful initiatives including the launch of the neuromusculoskeletal service line and implementing lifestyle-based interventions that improved patient outcomes by over 25%.
Dr. Chen remains dedicated to teaching as evidenced by recent accolades including Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Distinguished Teaching Award, Yale UniversityΓÇÖs Arnold P. Gold Fellowship, and the NIH Intramural Research Training Award. His dedication to teaching, team collaboration, and innovative problem-solving makes him a valuable addition to Spire HealthΓÇÖs multidisciplinary team.
