After completing his Doctor of Osteopathy at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Chen trained in Family Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He went on to expand his expertise through advanced training in structural acupuncture at Harvard Medical School and earned certification in Medical Acupuncture.
Throughout his career, Dr. Chen has practiced in some of the nation's most respected health systems, including Johns Hopkins and the University of Pennsylvania, where he not only cared for patients but also taught and mentored medical students and residents. He has been recognized for his dedication to education and compassionate patient care as a finalist for the Johns Hopkins Distinguished Teaching Society and a Yale Arnold P. Gold Fellow.
Most recently, Dr. Chen practiced at Restore Health Center in Colorado, where he led the development of integrative services that improved patient satisfaction and outcomes. His clinical focus includes preventive health, neuromusculoskeletal medicine, complex chronic conditions, pain management, and lifestyle-based interventions.
With a strong background in leadership and team collaboration, Dr. Chen is passionate about helping patients uncover the root causes of illness, reduce reliance on medications, and optimize long-term health. He integrates advanced diagnostics, nutrition, acupuncture, osteopathic medicine, and functional medicine to deliver highly personalized care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Chen enjoys staying active, exploring holistic approaches to wellness, and fostering meaningful connections between patients and their health journey.
